*In this article, I’m recounting a personal experience I’ve had with pain management. This article is not intended to be medical advice and should not be taken as such. *
I suffer a lot from back pain. It’s weird for two reasons. The first is that I’m pretty young to be experiencing back pain, and the second is that I’ve been feeling better as of late. About 5 years ago, it felt like my back was being crushed. I felt heavy and tired all the time. The upper part of my back along with my neck felt stiff. It was really hard to breathe. Now I feel free and loose, but I do get back pain in a single spot. This is the result of about 5 years of barefoot walking. Barefoot walking has made a massive difference in my quality of life, because the pain I do get is significantly less than what it used to be. But the job isn’t quite finished yet. Sometimes I deal with intense pain, and for a long time I was struggling to get relief.
Enter CBD
I never was a big believer in medicinal marijuana. Does it feel good to get high? Yes. Does Charlotte’s Web work for seizures? Apparently so. But I’ve just never believed that kush was a cure all. You can call me old school, but I think entrepreneurs and speculators are taking advantage of a trend. I was pretty desperate when I decided to buy some CBD cream at the store. The lady assured me it would work, and I wasn’t sure if could trust her, to be honest. I took a leap of faith and spent about $30 USD on a tiny jar of this cream.
Limping from the pain I was in, I rubbed this stuff on my back as soon as I got home, and it actually worked. The cream took a few minutes to kick in, but the effects were swift and noticeable. I went from being a writhing, moaning mess, to being able to move around and jump. I pretty much forgot the pain I was in.
I wouldn’t use THC to self-medicate. It’s a drug, and there are psychological and social drawbacks to taking it. But CBD worked for me. It got rid of the pain I was in, and it didn’t get me high. The jar of cream I bought was expensive, but it’s cost effective considering how infrequently I have to use it. I’m sure you can get bulk deals on all types of CBD products online. If you’re looking to buy some CBD, I would check the laws in your local jurisdiction. It may be illegal in some parts of the world. Besides that, the internet is your friend, and it’s sold in stores in certain countries. CBD products are a gamechanger for me. They’re not addcitive, they help me, and they work as advertised. I’m not really sure why marketers, business leaders, and health professionals don’t make a bigger effort to distinguish it from regular (THC) weed.
Thanks for paying attention.
