Is Being A “Passport Bro” The Incel’s Cheat Code?

I’ve seen the meteoric rise and now fall from grace of the passport bros movement. I’m not quite sure why it happened, I think it’s because of the remote work boom. Recently, I saw a thumbnail for a long YouTube video. I didn’t watch it, but it was called Passport Bros: The Incel’s Cheat Code. I found it interesting, because I used to have a friend who called moving abroad a cheat code to have an easy life. He, like many other people, fundamentally misunderstood the purpose of living abroad. The truth is, being a Passport Bro can be the incel’s cheat code, but only if you’re making a decent Western salary and willing to simp or be a whoremonger. In pretty much every other scenario, it’s harder, but more worthwhile to start families with women overseas. So, let’s work through why being a passport bro both is and isn’t a cheat code for incels.

Foreign women do look “better”

I put this in air quotes, but this statement is true if you’re from America and like thinner women and are playing the field. This depends on which city you live in, obviously, but it’s just true. So, it’s easy to make content about cheap cities for American whoremongers and really lonely American people. Passport bros have capitalized on this to get attention on YouTube and sensationalized every aspect of dating overseas.

Real people sometimes have bad/embarrassing dating experiences

Lots of people get cheated on, rejected, or caught up in scandals. Humans are humans, even when they’re attractive celebrities or likeable politicians. People lose women to other men all the time or are made to feel bad about themselves in some way. The internet and incels have sensationalized this phenomenon too. This has led to people who have been rejected and/or can’t attract women in their home countries posting videos bragging and showing off in foreign countries. Probably incels, or borderline incels.

Some (very loud) women were mean online

I’m black. I remember seeing black women talking about aborting black male babies and lynching black men on YouTube and Twitterr in the immediate era after COVID. I don’t generalize, but the fact that such blatant hatred towards me was so widespread made me think twice about planting my roots in the English-speaking world. It seems that the playbook in these countries is to gaslight you about racism in other countries, while treating you as a second-class citizen in your own, as a black man. Things have probably calmed down now that many of these people got banned from the internet, but I’m good. I’m already on the location independent path, if I’m going to deal with racism, I’ll do it Europe, where it’s (generally) safe.

America/America-like governments don’t give their citizens much

I live in a poor country that runs kind of like America. We have free healthcare, some cheap vocational training, and labor unions but still…I want to get out of here, women or not. I’ve seen the amenities that are given to the poor and upper-middle class in some countries. I also understand that crime rates in other countries are lower than both where I am and the United States. It’s hard for me to respect America when I had to teach myself the math necessary to get a high SAT score in my senior year. Or when I saw how people in the foster or mental healthcare system were treated. Richest country in the world, my a$$.

Going overseas is the move unless you’re obsessed with money

Passport bros aside, it’s better to live overseas than it is to live in the United States if you’re going to be a middle class person. Just don’t go somewhere 3rd world without a lot of savings and skills behind you. If you’re just an average joe, head to Europe, the Middle East, or maybe even Australia. Life is just so much more pleasant when you have either healthcare or taxes out of the way. Don’t forget about cheaper college and vocational tuition for you and your kids. It’s really a vibe, especially if you can make US dollars from your new country. If you’re a high performer or want to get rich, stay in America. America favors the top 1%. If you want to live like a normal person, then run to the airport without passing go or collecting $200.

So yeah, if passport bros aren’t incels, they’re pretty obsessed with women. It’s one thing to be this way when you’re young, but as I age I realize how crazy it is that men over 30 are on this wave. If you’re hyper-focused on passport bros, just be more normal, lol. Because you’re missing the point of what real expats are trying to get done.

Thanks for paying attention
