If you can earn $500 per month online, you will be happy. That is a promise that I can definitely make. Earning $500 per month online consistently is easier said than done. A lot of business models don’t work, and it can take a lot of time for online income projects to yield the results that we expect in exchange for our labor. But it’s definitely possible to earn something online. It’s all just a matter of understanding the required metrics, and pushing hard to earn the living that’s required in order to buy yourself some freedom. If you’re 18 years old and have nothing to do, I would push hard to get to $500 per month creating content, no matter how difficult it is. All it takes is $500 per month in recurring revenue to buy your freedom. Here’s why.
If you have qualifications, you can get a job overseas
If you live in a first world country, get some skills. If you can get certified in something, you’re going to find yourself very much able to earn $1,000 per month overseas. This might be a bit tricky in Southeast Asia where wages are low, but it’s actually not hard to live a decent life on $1,500 per month. So, if you’re earning even $500 per month from a blog, you’re ready to start sending out job applications. You’re one successful application away from living an upper middle-class lifestyle.
Cambodia, Vietnam, and Colombia: Get your start on $500/ month
If you’re making $500 per month and have some savings under your belt, you’re going to want to look into living in these places as you start or expand your businesses, as of 2024. I’ve done a lot of research, and these 3 countries offer low prices, decent growth or existing business opportunities, along with access to Western style internet infrastructure and cultural references. You can’t beat these three countries if you’re a digital nomad with nothing to your name. It’s risky in some ways, but if I were very young, I would get blogging. If I had found writing online earlier, I would have already bought my little slice of freedom.
12,500 views per month is easily $500/month in online income
That’s an RPM of $40. I wrote another article on this site about how a blog’s RPM should be $100/ minimum. This means that in order to reach my goal, one should only need to pull in 5,000 views per month. This could easily be done with a few good articles. 200 articles and some digital products should make that happen in no time. It’s all just a matter of creating the right products to go along with your blog, and making sure that you take the time required to create the necessary content. This last part is the hardest part. If you don’t write the 200 articles, you have no shot at getting the 5,000 views, and you have no shot at earning $500 per month. It’s all up to you. If you expect to get lots of traffic to your written online content, you’re going to need to write a lot. You’re going to need to break into the top 5% of websites in order to have staying power, that’s for sure. The biggest websites out there have a massive market share. If you want to get traffic to your blog, you’re going to need to either keep writing, or do something else of note. A lot of people are writing online. People’s attention is scarce. If you can’t help them, you might as well get lost. All that being said, you definitely make it to 5,000 views per month, bare minimum. With 200 articles, that’s only 25 views per month. All you need to do is write all of that content, create some products, and start a YouTube channel. Voila! You’ll likely be making far more than $500 per month by the time you’re done creating all this stuff.
If you can break $500 per month, you’re probably smart enough to try multiple business models
This is the real trick. Once you learn how to make a few hundred dollars per month online, it all makes sense. You start to learn patience, see opportunity, and learn how to build lasting businesses. You just need two businesses that pull in $500 per month. Once you have that, you can live the life of your dreams.
If you can break $500 per month, you can collaborate with people and teach them
You probably aren’t going to become an online business guru pulling in only $500 per month. But it definitely is possible to collaborate with people and create a good living for yourself. For example, if you’re a YouTuber, you can show your business owner friend your video views, and get yourself your first sponsorship. You should be able to tangibly provide value for the people around you, if you’re pulling in $500 per month.
If you can break $500 per month, you are skilled at creating content
Whether it’s making videos, writing, design, or drawing, you have a skill if you’re making $500 per month. You can go and sell your time with that skill. It’s worthwhile if you find yourself down on your luck, or unwilling and unable to grow your business.
500 pageviews per month = $500 per month if you’re in ecommerce
Ecommerce is extremely profitable. If you’re making clothes or selling jewelry your margins might be lower, but people like to buy stuff online. It shouldn’t take you that much traffic to earn money if you create a product. If you don’t believe me just look at Flippa.com, in the ecommerce section. There are lots of people flipping websites that bring in under 2,000 views per month and still make money.
If you’re looking to make some money online and don’t have a lot of time, just try and get to $500 per month in online income. Once you’re earning that much money passively, you’ll start to find that your options for living overseas expand. You can look into the really cheap countries I mentioned, or you can push your way to $1,000-2,500 and really find out what’s out there. Just make that first push and start. There are lots of resources on how to do that on this website. Just look around and read.
Thanks for paying attention.
