How To Channel Your Anger into Success

I come from a country in which you pretty much have no choice but to be successful. You can underperform if you want to, but life will be really, really difficult. This is because my country is quite poor, and in order to live like the average American, you pretty much have to be in the top 10% of income earners in the country. This means that you don’t really have time for anger, at least not the type that paralyzes you. Anger derails a lot of lives, especially now that bad behavior is frequently captured on camera. But it can also make your future. Donald Trump, as far as I can tell, owes a lot of his success to anger. His rage fuels him to work hard. I’ve dealt with some anger in my life and have learned over time how to channel it into a positive pursuit like writing. Blogging is the most lucrative form of writing, so that’s what I do. Here’s how you can do the same.

Know what you want in life

If you don’t know what you want in life, it’s going to really hard to channel your feelings into much of anything. You’ll be aimless, and the devil will mostly likely find your idle hands. Know what you want out of life, in relative detail. I have a rough idea of where I want to live and what I want to do with my time. But most importantly, I know how much money it costs in order to make it all happen. I have good idea of how much time I’ll need to spend doing things I don’t want to do. This has been immensely helpful as I’ve pushed forward in this uncertain journey.

Build creative solutions to your problems

This is probably the best way to channel your frustrations. When you’re able to think clearly about how to solve your own problems, you can create products that fit the solution. I apply this to my blog by writing about topics that I’m interested in. If you think hard enough, there are lots of products and services that you can come up with, and they may not all be able to be costly to provide. Pounce on that. I offer solutions to people’s problems with this blog, but I also do the simple job of solving the content problem while writing. People need something to fill their time with, and advertisers need eyeballs. Bam bam.

Build a good network of ethical people

Sometimes we can’t really control our anger. We might yell, have a breakdown, or make a lot of mistakes at work. You want to be around good people if and when this happens. Bad people will take advantage of you and screw you over, or they’ll be going through their own issues. People with high levels of morality are the best to associate with. Bad people get mired in their own issues over time, and it hampers them as life goes on.

Learn how to breathe and slow down

You might need the help of a crutch or an addiction when you first start doing this. But the key to channeling your energy properly is to learn how to pause and take a deep breath. Even if you’re able to control yourself, breathing properly helps you physiologically be less angry and pent up.

Pour your heart into your work

The harder you work at stuff, the better you do. That’s the general rule. If you focus on something you’re passionate about and skilled at, you’re bound to be producing excellent material. Just do the same thing every day, and before you know it leapfrogging your competitors will feel like nothing.

We’re often filled with anger when we’re young. Our childhood traumas bog us down, and it can be hard to cope. Thankfully, it’s pretty easy to work hard and succeed.

Thanks for paying attention.
