This is probably the second “handwritten” article I’m producing in the last two weeks. Surprisingly, it isn’t too hard for me to write. Generating AI articles has been my grind for the last two months. It’s been insanely productive. I have an extra 500 articles for my website, at least. I don’t expect the articles to bring immediate traffic. To be honest, I’m not sure when I’ll make money off this, but I know I will soon. Gen AI is a powerful tool, and I’m not using it to spam.
I don’t need to be super rich. I just want to be well-off. AI threw a wrench into my plans. I didn’t expect the written word to be commodified so easily. So now I’m padding my blog with AI. I have it generate about 50% of my content, and I edit it later. This way, I can create a ton of content and acheive my goal of breaking $200,000/year from blogging and retiring. The AI saves me time.
Too bad generating articles is tedious. It isn’t passive. You need good prompts, and AI is stupid. If you want to build something big and real, you’re going to be prompting day in day out.
AI and the internet allow you to build bigger businesses than ever. But those businesses are also more competitive and precariously placed than ever. If you aren’t willing to work like a dog, things won’t work out.
That being said, I live in a poor country. A $2,000/ month income source puts me ahead of the game. I have big dreams, so the tedium is worth it. It’s just unfortunate that so much of running a true content business involves boredom and repitition more than following your passion. But… this is how you get to the big bucks. You spend a lot of time learning how to provide a service. In my case, I’m giving you guys something to read. I hope you enjoyed my real writing.
Thanks for paying attention.
