Spiritual Life Coaching: Don’t Be Afraid to Take the Leap

It feels like whenever we turn on our computers or check our phones, we see someone who’s set about the task of building a cult. Whether it’s Andrew Tate and his army, or the people who run productivity podcasts: people are looking for someone to follow. A lot of people look down on gurus and online personalities. They cheapen the value of the content, mainly because previous self-help advice came from different, more offline sources. While I definitely understand why it might be concerning to see people follow the figures they encounter online, I want to encourage people to take them seriously. In addition, I would like to urge people not to be afraid of dipping their toes into the field.

So, what is spiritual life coaching? It can mean a lot of things, depending on what you’re hoping to get your clients to achieve. But usually, it means scheduled, highly personal or one on one interactions with the aim of improving the client’s spiritual health. How you do that is up to you.

Isn’t This and Unregulated Industry? Why Promote It?

Yes. Spiritual life coaching is completely unregulated. This is because everybody has their own beliefs, and even those who have the same beliefs attend different services and follow different priests or gurus. Given this fact, I think there’s absolutely nothing wrong with joining in on the trend, as long as you’re being honest about the nature of your services. Spiritual knowledge and enlightenment can inspire profound shifts in people. I see nothing wrong with making your living in a way that has the potential to help the world.

How Much Can Spiritual Life Coaches Charge?

While you shouldn’t be doing this for the money, you can charge a lot. If your services help people, they’ll become valuable. Don’t be greedy but don’t sacrifice your standard of living either. I think a good starting rate to charge is $40 per hour of consultation. This might sound high for a beginner, but this way, you can earn a good living from the start. It’s fair if you do a good job.

We live in an era in which a lot of people are lost. Capitalism has given us a high quality of life, and a lot of resources. There’s nothing wrong with being there when people chose to allocate their resources towards their beliefs. Just remember to do what’s right. Stand tall for what you believe and be honest. The universe will reward you.
