You just need to keep plugging away, and create the value that you need to create. But right now we’re in a recession, globally speaking. Living standards are going down. If you’re able to do the hard work required to lift yours up, not only should you be saluted, but you should also find that when living standards do start rising, life gets really easy. We’re entering a new age. If you can enter that new age with a business, you’re going to win.
Your EBITDA multiple is what matters
That’s really how much your business is worth. I used to think online businesses were undervalued. They aren’t. They’re incredibly high risk, and I can see why a lot of people don’t want to be involved. The EBITDA multiple for blogs and Ecommerce stores is 2.5x, despite it being a booming industry. You need to make as much money as possible from your online business so that you have a hope of acquiring a decent net worth in this harsh world of high debt. Pay attention to the addition being made to your net worth. Nothing else.
Increase the online traffic that you bring in. You want to be at a point where you get it easily and organically. That’s pretty much your only hope. Start early and start fast. You might think you have time, but your really don’t. The whole world is digitizing, and it’s getting harder and harder to make money online. If you’re not careful, you’re going to be left behind.
