I recently found out some amazing news. 77 countries have been added to the Medium partner program, including mine. And I didn’t even notice! I was too busy writing articles. I started writing on Medium with the goal of getting enough traffic to earn a living with a digital products. Now, I’m on track to do more than 2,000 views per month, but I still don’t have a product to sell. This was causing a lot of consternation for me. I knew I could write articles, but I wasn’t sure that I had a good product to sell.
Now, my problems are almost solved. Even if I create a product and it flops, I still have an opportunity to make money from the Partner Program. I had the option to give up on Medium. It would have been the logical thing to do since there was no form of the partner program available in my country. But I didn’t. I realized that the Medium partner program was more likely than not to expand and that a blog can always bring in the traffic required to sell many products. So I wrote some articles with little fanfare. And then I wrote some more. Now, I’m getting traffic and monetization is just around the corner.
So the lesson here guys, is to keep working hard. If you’re using a real skillset, you’ll likely be rewarded beyond what you can imagine. I expected to be monetizing my blog without the help of the partner program, now I have two options for making money. None of this would have been possible if I had simply thrown in the towel and opted to get a job. Work for yourselves, and work hard. Keep being
consistent, and you’ll find yourself making leaps and bounds past everyone you know. I put my head down and worked for 6 months, and can already feel myself heading into the upper class. Imagine what can happen over the course of 6 years.
Keep working hard. In my experience, everything goes right when you do. People see the hustle and respect it. Potential opportunities become reality. The right contacts tend to make themselves available. Your life just goes more smoothly. They say “idle hands are the devil’s plaything”, and I think that’s true. The harder and longer you work, the fewer mistakes you make, and that’s because hard work is never a mistake. Idle people have a habit of finding themselves in criminal trouble, for some reason. Follow your dreams, set realistic and achievable goals, break them down into small parts, and work. Once you’ve started working, don’t stop. You’ll quickly find yourself in an upward spiral, and before you know it you’ll be winning.
