How To Write Fast

I don’t write quickly. As a matter of fact, I don’t do anything quickly. I speak quickly, sometimes. And yet, I’ve figured out how to write fast. I’ve written about 8 articles in the last two days. I probably won’t finish this article tonight, but if I do you can make it 9. I have been writing a lot over the last year, and I’ve gotten quite quick when it comes to putting words down. While I do have a decent bit of natural talent, I’ve been able to turn writing fast into a process. I wrote an entire novella in a week. And like I said, I’m not a fast writer. Here’s how you do it.

Write about topics that interest you

You’ll work faster and you’ll write better content if you write what you’re passionate about. Sure, some niches earn more money than others. Maybe you want to make sure you “lock in” your earnings and stick to a certain topic that’s tried and true. That’s all good, but you likely won’t be writing fast, especially not as a newbie. When you write what you’re interested in, things flow naturally.

Come up with the article titles beforehand

This will help you with both SEO and content creation. When you come up with article titles properly before writing, you make sure that your articles are “clickable” before you waste time filling space. If you get good at coming up with article titles, you’ll be able to think about how “deep” you can go with a given topic before you type.

Outline, whether it’s in your head or on paper

I have practice and experience writing blog posts. As a matter of fact, I had written over 100 of them before ever starting this blog. I can outline an entire blog post in my head. For the purposes of Rising Current, I outline everything using subheadings. I lay those down after writing the introductory paragraph. This allows me to fill in the blanks. I’ve gotten so used to this process, it feels effortless. If you take nothing else from this article, remember to outline. I didn’t follow this step for years, and it slowed me down a whole lot. Outline.

Work consistently and constantly

If you want to mess around during the day you can. Just make sure you write a lot in between. I’m producing a lot of content during the day, even though my day feels like one long break. By the end of the year, I’ll have written nearly 200 articles. Writing is a slow grind. It takes a lot of time for written content to get attention. But when it does, the traffic and money tend to be quite stable. I think this is a beautiful thing for aspiring authors, because all it takes to succeed is a strong mind. Stay consistent, and your “content garden” should bloom rapidly.

Writing fast is easy. You just need to practice, and you should be able to significantly up your rate of output, regardless of how you started. Recently I’ve been writing everything on my phone. Following my method for writing fast will definitely work, because you don’t even need proper equipment to put it into practice.

Thanks for paying attention, as always.
